The Oscars may be the end of the award season, but it is also the beginning of event season (weddings, proms, etc.). The Oscars are known for formal attire – gorgeous actresses in floor-length gowns and men in tuxedos and bow ties.
While I adore red carpets for any event and dress code, it’s lovely seeing well-known actors in show-stopping attire. Here are the op six fave looks from this years Oscars Academy Awards:
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior was my number one look of the night. From head to toe, both Jennifers glam and gown were breathtaking. I am loving the forthcoming lob (long bob), with the lace turned to tulle gown. Sexy dress, with romantic glam… you go, girl!
Olivia Wilde was my number two look of the night. The up-do and choker detail create the perfect balance for this pleated, plunged, cream gown. Number three goes to Rachel McAdams. There are many looks from her that I don’t like, but I am loving the emerald, jewel toned silk gown with a show-stopping open back detail. Minimal jewelry with a clean, pulled-back look. On point!
My top three looks are nonnegotiable, but between Rooney, Soairse and Margot, there is no order for these lovely women. Rooney was to-die-for in this detailed Givenchy gown. The dark red lip makes this look, hers!
When I watch red carpet events, there seems to be a trend of designers that catch my eye – Calvin Klein being one of them. I’m loving this emerald gown on Saorise Ronan. The glitz and detail is perfect for the 21-year-old’s Oscar-nominee.
Margot Robbie. Need I say more? Margot became my girl crush after seeing the movie, Focus, with Will Smith. Other than the fact, she’s gorgeous, she killed this look! The gold glam works perfectly with her tanned skin and blonde locks. This dress does all the talking! Thank you, Tom Ford.
