Believe it or not, not all sunglass frames are a match to every face shape. I get a little carried away, trying on Tom Ford’s and Fendi shades, and convince myself they all look great… That is not necessarily the case. When we go shopping, we buy things to look good and feel good. It’s important to find what flatters your body the best! This post will help you figure out what frames would best fit your face shape.
You can never go wrong with cat-eye or round sunnies. These look the best on square, oval and heart-shaped faces. If you’re strutting a chic outfit, go with cat-eye. For a more vintage or casual feel, round frames all the way! These Tom Ford cat-eye’s are my favorite, while Ray-Ban takes the crown for the best round frames.
Oval face shapes tend to pull off cat-eye, round, oversized, wayfarer and aviator frames… lucky you!
For a round face, stick with oversized. Ray Ban is known for their aviator and wayfarers, and aren’t as expensive as other designer sunnies. Note: be picky with aviator frames! While they go for the cop-like-look, the frame shape can create an illusion of bending your facial features, depending on eyebrow shape and cheekbone structure. The top bar of wayfarers is straight, and perfect for a classic look (best for heart and oval-shaped faces).
